Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of saravanaconsultancy.in (“the site”) and the consulting services provided by Saravana Consultancy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site or engaging us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About us
Saravana Consultancy is a sole-proprietorship owned by Balasubramanian Iyer, providing consulting services for aluminium anodizing, hard anodizing, powder coating, and related surface-treatment processes across India.
2. Use of the site
The content of this site — articles, technical references, service descriptions — is provided for informational purposes. You may read it, share the links, and quote reasonably with attribution. You may not:
- republish substantial portions of the content without written permission;
- use the content to train machine-learning models for commercial resale (informational indexing and retrieval are fine);
- misrepresent our work as your own, or our opinions as endorsements of your products.
3. Nature of our content
Articles on this site are general guidance based on decades of plant-floor experience. They are not a substitute for site-specific engineering judgment. Process parameters (bath concentrations, voltages, pre-treatment times) vary with alloy, part geometry, rectifier characteristics, and water quality. Do not run a plant based on a blog post. Always validate with qualified on-site engineers — ours or your own.
4. Engaging our services
Nothing on this site is a binding offer. An engagement with Saravana Consultancy begins only when we mutually agree a scope of work — typically in a written proposal or email exchange — covering:
- the specific deliverables (e.g. plant audit report, process troubleshooting, greenfield DPR, on-site commissioning support);
- the timeline and milestones;
- professional fees and reimbursable expenses;
- confidentiality terms (an NDA where appropriate).
Until a scope is mutually agreed in writing, no services are deemed to be engaged.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted per engagement and are exclusive of GST (where applicable) and reimbursable travel expenses. Payment terms are specified in the individual scope. Invoices not disputed in writing within 15 days are deemed accepted. Late payments may attract simple interest at 1% per month.
6. Client responsibilities
For us to deliver well, the client will:
- provide accurate information about the plant, process, alloys, and problem statement;
- grant reasonable site access for inspections and commissioning;
- ensure that on-site work is performed under the client's own occupational-safety regime (we comply with PPE and safety rules; we do not override them);
- implement our recommendations using appropriately qualified personnel.
7. Confidentiality
Information shared during an engagement — drawings, formulations, production data, commercial terms — is held in confidence and used only to deliver the agreed services. We are happy to sign the client's NDA on reasonable, mutual terms. We will not identify a client in case studies or publications without written permission.
8. Intellectual property
- Pre-existing IP — processes, templates, checklists, reference data we bring to an engagement remain ours.
- Deliverables created specifically for a client (reports, DPRs, drawings prepared for the client's plant) are licensed to that client for use within their business. Copyright in the deliverables themselves remains with Saravana Consultancy unless expressly assigned in writing.
- Client IP — any background material the client shares remains the client's property.
9. Warranty and disclaimer
We perform consulting services with the skill and care reasonably expected of an experienced practitioner in the field. Beyond that, the site content and any general guidance are provided “as is”, with no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant specific commercial outcomes (yield, production rate, market acceptance) because these depend on factors outside our control.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total aggregate liability for any engagement is capped at the fees actually paid to us under that engagement.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive losses — lost profits, lost production, lost goodwill, or the cost of substitute services.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Indemnity
Each party will indemnify the other against third-party claims arising from its own gross negligence or wilful breach of these terms. Neither party indemnifies the other for decisions made by the indemnified party against the other's written advice.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement for convenience with 15 days' written notice, or immediately for material breach that is not cured within 15 days of notice. On termination, the client pays for work properly performed and expenses committed up to the termination date.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms, and any engagement entered into under them, are governed by the laws of India. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute by good-faith negotiation for 30 days. Failing that, disputes will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in India, in English. The competent civil courts at the registered place of business of Saravana Consultancy have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter not subject to arbitration.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events reasonably beyond its control — natural disasters, war, pandemics, government action, or infrastructure failure. The affected party will notify the other promptly and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
15. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page. For existing engagements, the terms in force when the scope was agreed continue to apply.
