Abstract

The mid-tier specification for high-performance organic (typically polyester or polyester-urethane) coatings on architectural aluminium. Specifies film performance requirements including 5-year South Florida natural-exposure weathering, salt-spray resistance (3000 hours per ASTM B117), abrasion resistance, hardness, and chemical resistance. Sits between AAMA 2603 (short-exterior, lower-tier) and AAMA 2605 (10-year, fluoropolymer).
