## Who this is for

You are considering an anodising line — captive for your own product, or as job work — and you need real numbers before you can have a serious internal conversation. You have a capacity in mind and a product to finish. What you do not have is a defensible capital figure, a connected load to take to the electricity board, or a floor area to check against the shed you were shown.

Our [free calculator](/calculators/anodizing-plant-cost) will give you a model output. This is a person telling you where that model is wrong for your case.

## What you receive

A two to three page note, written for someone who has to justify a number to somebody else.

01 **Indicative CAPEX, by line item** Tanks, rectifier, transporter, chiller if applicable, jigs, ETP and DM, scrubber, civil, instrumentation, commissioning — with a band, not a false single figure.

02 **Rectifier sizing and connected load** Current requirement from your loaded area and process, the rectifier rating that follows, and the total connected load to take to the DISCOM.

03 **Tank schedule** Count, dimensions and materials, sized for your archetype — a hollowware line and a basket line are not smaller profile lines.

04 **Utilities load** Water and DM consumption, ETP loading, exhaust and scrubber duty. The numbers a consent application will ask you for.

05 **Space envelope** Line footprint and total floor area with aisle and service allowance, so you can test it against the premises you are considering.

06 **The three decisions that move your number** The part most people never get. Which choices actually change the capital and the running cost, and which are noise.

**Not included:** vendor quotations, layout drawings, single-line electrical, or a bankable DPR. Those are Phase 0 and Phase 1 work. This is the note that tells you whether to start one.

## Why it is paid, and why it is only ₹2,500

Basic sizing given away free does not convert into decisions. A number handed over without its reasoning can be walked straight to a vendor, carries no assumptions you can argue with, and leaves no record. The same number, paid for, arrives with the assumptions stated, the sensitivities named, and the next question identified.

The fee also filters, and honestly so. Assembling the six inputs takes about an hour of real work. That hour is what separates a plant project from an idea, and it is a fairer test than a phone call.

**The full ₹2,500 is credited against a Phase 0 engagement started within 30 days.** It is a down payment, not a toll.

## Where it sits

## The six inputs

Fill this in and we will confirm scope and send a payment link within one working day. If something is genuinely unknown, say so — not knowing your sanctioned load is normal at this stage and is itself useful. The two we cannot work without are target capacity and what you are finishing.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the plant setup snapshot?
A ₹2,500 written feasibility note for an anodising plant. You supply six inputs about the plant you intend to build; Balasubramanian Iyer returns a two to three page note within three working days covering indicative CAPEX with line items, rectifier sizing and connected load, a tank schedule, utilities load including water, DM and ETP, the floor space envelope, and the three decisions that move your number most.

### Why is there a fee for what other consultants give free?
Because free numbers do not convert into decisions. A basic sizing calculation handed over without the reasoning behind it can be walked straight to a vendor, carries no assumptions you can test, and leaves no record of the conversation. The paid note arrives with the assumptions stated, the sensitivities named, and the next question identified. The fee also filters: gathering the six inputs takes an hour of real work, which is exactly the hour that separates a plant project from an idea.

### Is the fee adjusted if I go ahead?
Yes. The ₹2,500 is credited in full against a Phase 0 engagement commenced within 30 days, so it functions as a down payment rather than a toll.

### What if my decision is still two months away?
That is the normal case for a plant decision, and it is a reason to take the snapshot earlier rather than later. The note is the document you use to make the decision, so having it two months out is more useful than having it the week you commit.

### How is this different from the free calculator?
The [calculator](/calculators/anodizing-plant-cost) gives you a model output from generic India rates. The snapshot is a person looking at your specific capacity, product, standard, site power and plot, and telling you where that model is wrong for your case. Most usefully, it names the three decisions that move your number most, which a calculator cannot do.

### What if I do not know some of the inputs?
Say so on the form. Not knowing sanctioned load or plot envelope is common at this stage and is itself useful information. What we cannot work without is a target capacity and a product, because those set everything else.
