## Abstract

The reference voluntary specification for anodic coatings on architectural aluminium in North America and internationally. Defines Class I (≥18 μm coating thickness, sealed, full architectural-grade performance) and Class II (≥10 μm, lower-tier exterior exposure). Specifies weathering performance via accelerated and natural-exposure testing, salt-spray (per ASTM B117, 336 hours for Class I), abrasion resistance, sealing quality, and colour-stability requirements. The most-cited architectural anodize standard in international façade specifications, including in Indian high-end architectural projects.
